About Me

My name is Lana (I go by bunnysmiles on social media, where I post my artwork) and I am an illustrator and animator based in South Africa. I am currently studying at the Open Window Institute, double-majoring in Illustration and Motion Design. I love what I do and try to bring that love for my craft into every piece of art I make. In my free time, I like to draw, take care of my plants and watch animated movies.

I studied at Hoërskool Die Wilgers and matriculated there. I achieved multiple distinctions throughout my studies and also won several academic awards, including a spot on the Academic Top 10 as well as a trophy for Best Design Student in 2019.

The Open Window Institute

I am currently enrolled as a student at the Open Window Creative Institute, double-majoring in Illustration and Motion Design for a Bachelors in Visual Communication. I have received distinctions and high praise specifically for my motion design and illustration work.

Illustration

My illustration work varies widely, from simple to painterly and complex. I have illustrated a childrens' book as well as a scientific booklet, and have even created my own merchandise line with my illustrations on them.

Motion Graphics

My style of animation is fluid, bouncy and dynamic. I can animate almost anything a client throws at me and try to perfect every project that comes my way.
